Hailing from the land of all things that are great about heavy metal – the mighty Scandinavia – comes hard rocking Swedish three piece S.O.R.M!!! Capturing the best of the mid to late 80’s aesthetics of both US hard rock and NWOBHM, the band take this as a foundation and build on it with a very hook-driven Swedish sound that will appeal to fans of acts such as GHOST, NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA and classic acts such as WASP and IRON MAIDEN.
The new single and video clip is titled ‘DEMON CHILD’, and starts what will be an introduction of a larger story that unfolds in the bands upcoming new recording and follow up video clip.
You can watch the clip via Metal Injection HERE.
Commenting on the clip guitarist, vocalist and song writer Mikael Holm offers “The song Demon Child is about that we all have dark secrets within us. Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s about trusting someone that you don’t know, where the word trust is just something that people use to get closer to you. Ask yourself, can you really trust anyone?”
With content that will both intrigue the viewer and also grab them with the hooks that drive the song, the new song was filmed in Falkolping, Sweden by John Erickson at Mouzer Media, who also created the bands previous film clip for ‘Gypsy Queen’.
The single will also see the band introducing a new merch design to accompany the song, that will be available through Indie Merchandise following the release on June 14.
Feast your eyes on ‘Demon Child’ and check out the band’s debut release EP titled Hellraiser which is available now through Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music. Stay tuned for more music through S.O.R.M in the next few months.
